I have been going to Little Hills Winery & Restaurant the better part of my adult life. I have always loved the outdoor atmosphere and the wine selections. You can go down the street and sample for free. While I don't visit weekly, I can still say it was always a treat to go there when I had a few extra bucks. Like I said, the atmosphere more than made up for the price and since it was a treat, I relished in the somewhat long wait time for my meals. But there comes a time when 1 thing wrong, leads to two things and then three and you just throw up the hands. A $57 investment today was more than disappointing, not due to bad service but a very long list of issues. Wine selection of their wine were out of stock so the selection was other makers brands...so why did I come to Little Hills Winery? (perhaps their wine? Other menu changes had a superb appetizer off the menu (fried cheese coins) OMG why remove them? Then I found out they charge for samples when I can go to their store down the street and sample for free. (perhaps make your drink selection there before heading to the restaurant). Next, the signature favorite of Lobster Ravioli with scallops and shrimp lacked the intensely great sauce and shrimp (2 pcs and perhaps 7 tiny scallops) You got 6 limp, frozen flavored ravioli all for a whopping $20. The Spinach Artichoke dip tasted like a bowl of bland warm mayo and white cheese with no real spinach or artichoke in it alongside stale pita crisps. 'for every 2 crispy over toasted pitas you grabbed 1 very stale chip. The guest I ate with had a burger that used to be mammoth in size and grilled to perfection. The Five Alarm Burger was hardly a bell ringer, over done, crusty stale bun and not 1 ounce of juiciness, limp garnish for tomato and pickle. To top everything off, I order a Kaity trail signature drink touting 5 different liquors hoping for a buzz to forget the experience and I get a 10 ounce drinking glass, maybe 12 ounce and its filled 2/3 the way with ice and then liquid. My family has beem coming to this winery and restaruant for years and have never had an issue. On our last visit we didint have our winery passport book with us because of a change of vehicles and I called to find out what we needed to do to correct the problem and was told we would have to return, we that would be great if we were locals but we are not. I live over an hour and a half away. Hardly worth the gas. I cant believe the winery code couldn't be given over the phone even though I gave all of our info including what we purchased. Little Hills Winery was an absolutely perfect place to have our son's wedding rehearsal dinner! We were given plenty of room upstairs, the wait staff was very pleasant and service was wonderful.
