First Class Service All The Way! My family and I were serviced by Leak and Sons staff for the wake of our love one, Kenneth M. Jones. Initially, we didn't know what to expect and I've been to services at the funeral home before, but it's very different when it's you and your family. The whole family, Mr. Leak, Spencer Leak Jr. and Mrs. Leak really took the time to accomodate my brother's wake. The staff were very professional and courteous. Our out of town guest were really pleased with the wake and the level of professional the family and the staff showed was superior and they didn't even know us. I could tell this was the way they treated everyone. I highly recommend Leak and Sons and our family will use Leak and Sons in the future. Not anytime so we hope. Our two yachts, the Gypsy Spirit (2-50 people) and the Free Spirit (up to 120 people) are designed for your guests’ relaxation and comfort. We’re not your typical cruise ship company. For example, in the Free Spirit salon, you’ll find comfortable, “sink into” leather sofas; the Gypsy Spirit has the ambiance that’s like being in a friend’s luxurious home. And we couple this with friendly professional service. Booking Your Charter How far in advance should we book our special event? Once you know the date and time of day, you should contact us. If you have an alternate date/time, please let us know. Our yachts can be booked many months in advance, so better to book ahead than wait. To Confirm Your Date We cannot guarantee a date will be available for either of our charter yachts without a deposit. Terms A deposit is required to hold a charter reservation for your event. The deposit is 50% of the Chicago Yacht Charter. The balance, along with final guest count, is due 10 days prior to your charter date. What happens if it rains or the weather won’t cooperate? Your charter will proceed as scheduled. Our yachts are large enough to have your group inside, the food will have been ordered, and your guests invited. We’ve hosted lots of parties and meetings when the weather was less than ideal. Can I get a refund? Sorry, there are no refunds due to inclement weather. All bookings are non-refundable. Do you provide catering or can we bring our own food aboard the Free Spirit or Gypsy Spirit for our event? We work with the city’s finest caterers to provide an extraordinary variety of customized menus that will excite your taste buds and delight your guests. You may also customize your own menu. We highly recommended using our existing catering menus since they have been designed specifically for the yachts (and taste tested by thousands of happy guests). Whether you’re having a business meeting, entertaining clients, hosting a family celebration or a wedding reception…whatever the occasion, we want you to have a wonderful time on your charter as you cruise Lake Michigan and enjoy our breathtaking Chicago skyline.
