What to Bring on Boating Trips

Taking family or friends for a boating trip is always an enjoyable time. Boating is one of the most exciting and relaxing forms of recreation in the world. When go boating for an hour or an entire day, there are some things that you need to remember to bring. These are the items you should bring on a boating trip:

  • Because safety should be your number one priority, you should pack life jackets for each passenger.

  • Passengers enjoy wearing bathing suits and tank tops, but remember to bring sunscreen so no one gets burned.

  • Bring plenty of water to prevent dehydration. Everyone will want to drink beer or soda, but it is important to have water available, too.

  • If you are going to be boating all day, you may want to pack a lunch. Sandwiches and chips always make an easy meal on the boat.

  • If you enjoy spending time in the water, you may want to bring a snorkel or swimming mask to see underwater.

  • Towels are also important for drying off after getting out of the water.

  • Sunglasses make the glare from the water easier on the eyes. Make sure every passenger has a pair, if possible.

  • If you will be exploring any areas off of the boat, you may want to bring hand sanitizer or bug spray.
