Why Knot Marine Surplus

This is a ONE man operation, what little crappy work he does on your boat you wouldn't know, because he doesn't answer the phone. $1300 later i get my boat, he swears it's working. Today i've taken the boat to a real mechanic, he said the person at Why Knot ( who swears boat was running) glued the magnets upside down to the fly wheel, now i need a new fly wheel because this one is useless, costing me an additional $1000. Thanks Why Knot Marine, for not only NOT answering my phone calls, but charging $1300 for nothing. ...read more

Their explanation for the $289 was that that was how they made their profit - quote one price, put it on the bill of sale, and then sneak in a "dealer's fee." I said that they were welcome to quote any price, but a price is a price. I was not able to retrieve the $289, even through Mastercard. These guys are not just reckless, they engage in fraud. ...read more
