King Soopers
By 1ndnvr August 15, 2014
This is a decent King Sooper stop for a few things when you're in a hurry. The customer service has been friendly and available - even if they don't have what I'm looking for, reps have advised me on where I might find whatever it is. It's not always easy to quickly locate what your looking for since it's fairly large and spread out, and I wish there was some sort of locator board at the front for reference and direction. All said though, I'll continue to stop in when nearby. ...read more

Tony's Market
By lifeamongsavages at Citysearch April 04, 2012
Lots of interesting and novel food items for sale, and some are even edible, but nearly everyting is hard frozen and horribly OVERPRICED. We were told they had wild-caught salmon (as opposed to farm-raised), but Albertson's sells that for a lot less. I bought their crabcakes, and they had filled them with some kind of smoked sausage which totally ovewhelmed the flavor of the crab. Who puts sausage in a crab cake? Tom's Market continues the tradition in dowtown Denver of pretentious, overly-expensive food establishments, like Morton's Steakhouse or the Chophouse that offer items that can be purchased elsewhere for substantially less money. Also, there is some kind of myth out there that Tom's sells healthy food, but I saw very little of that in the store. The store itself is cramped and uncomfortable to walk around in. I suggest going to Sunflower Market or Whole Foods for a better experience that will leave you with some change in your wallet or purse. ...read more

King Soopers
By ex worker at Citysearch September 10, 2010
I use to work at the kingsooopers on evans for 7 months but i quit. I liked working there when i started and then after the 6th month it just went down hill. They love to give lots of hours with low pay. i use to work up to 45 hours in a week and only make 160 at the most so it sucked. The managers treat there employees like there just useless. I had a fellow employee that had requested two weeksoff 6 months ahead to go on a cruise. the week before she was about to leave they told her that she couldnt go they made her work. She wanted to quit but these times these days it is hard to find a job. Well all im saying is dont blame the employees blame the managers there the ones who run everything. "I ALSO ENCOURAGE NO ONE TO WORK THERE" ...read more

Carbone's Italian Sausage Market & Deli
By Brunetto at Citysearch March 18, 2009
I'am Italian and moved here from the DC area. My search was over for a great Italian deli once I first walked into Carbones. I knew it would be good just by walking into their little shop. The owners remind me of my Grandparents and the food is remarkable. If a Italian sub is what you want, then go no further...... ...read more
King Soopers
By jaem0803 at Citysearch January 08, 2009
I used to love king soopers over all other grocers until I moved to a neighborhood where this location is the closest one to me. On numerous occasions it has been understaffed to a temper boiling level. One evening after I had packed my cart to the brim I arrive to the check out stands and there is not a single person at a register. I go find the lady working the "self check out" and her only response is "oh, they're all on break" I ask when one will be back and she says ten minutes and that I could use the self check out! I don't even want to go into how annoying that was considering there is only so much space to place an item until you have to remove a bag and then everything stops till the lady presses an "continue" button from her computer. Oh and someone comes up to me and says "You have WAY too many items to be here" and I said politely "Im not here by choice mamn". She leaves. By the time I got home and about 20 other customers passed me by ALL, and I mean ALL of my frozen goods were thawed and drippy.\t\n Besides the understaffed issue, their shelves are understocked. Produce and meat are slim pickings all the time. The floors, carts, and everything always feel really dirty. I hate going to this place so much that I drive an extra 2 miles out of my way to avoid it when it's just 10 blocks away. ...read more

The other item was the whole foods brand blue cheese olives now they have on the shelf these real expensive olives and no blue cheese ones. Ill probably find another store to shop at. ...read more
Whole Foods Market
By writeon1 at Citysearch December 18, 2008
Whole Foods is the best thing that ever happened to America. No more exhaustive label-reading, no more questions about parabens in my sunscreen...The quality, the selection, the incredibly personable and knowledgable staff make this store my all-time favorite place to shop for groceries and even cleaning supplies. Coming from Chicago, I was disappointed that Whole Foods hadn't made it yet to Colorado. So, when the Cherry Creek store opened, I couldn't be happier. The prepared foods are healthful and I feel good about being able to easily purchase and support recycled items and contributing to charity. This is the one PC thing I do regularly, with no apologies. Yes, it's a chain and I'm really grateful for its existence! ...read more
