When my family hired the Lazy Lobster to cater my party it was everything I didn't know I needed. First and foremost the food is delicious, I had a couple awesome lobster rolls, and a full rack of ribs. Both were delicious. I even got wild and threw some rib scraps on the lobster roll which was just criminal; nothing bad happened, but it ran off with all my tastebuds' hearts. Just had out annual summer picnic for out staff and clients. Had a great experience in working out the details. We got everything we wanted. Even covered a couple of diet specialty items we needed. Rhonda, I just wanted to write and let you know how amazing your staff was last night. They were all so great to work with. Gio was an unbelievably wonderful banquet captain. He was totally organized to a "T" and you can tell his crew really respects him. Bob did an awesome job bar-tending; he is fun spirited and very professional. Gio paid close attention to every detail without fail and the bride and groom were overjoyed with his service and meticulous manner. It is with GREAT pleasure that I recommend Ranch Events and give the highest praise to Bernardo, our wonderful event manager. We rented the Seaside Room in Marina Village for our wedding last week and hired Ranch Events for all of our catering needs, room set-up and food service. It was great to have all of those items taken care of by one vendor. It made our wedding planning a ton easier but what really made it a breeze was working with Bernardo! He was so accommodating and really went out of his way to make sure we had the most amazing day! Prior to our wedding, Bernardo met with us several times to do food tastings, table settings and walk-thrus at the venue. He and his staff were very generous and offered us wonderful hospitality. Bernardo worked diligently with us to discuss floor plans and decoration options. He was very responsive to my emails and phone calls and always had a positive answer or provided a comparable solution. There didn't seem to be anything that he couldn't or wouldn't do for us. Our wedding day was beyond perfect! The decorations that he and his team did for us were unbelievable! The room itself has a beautiful view of the marina with a great deck in front and a large connecting patio that we were able to use for our ceremony. The reception room itself is a little dated with oak wood columns but after adding white curtains, drapes, paper lanterns and large sting lights, the room looked GORGEOUS! Bernardo even had an amazing lounge area set-up for us that really added to our layout. Our guests loved taking a load off on a big comfy couch! We hired Ranch to have servers go around offering appetizers during the cocktail hour and then serve our guests a buffet-style dinner. All of the food was delicious! We got the classic menu with chicken picatta, roasted veggies, two salads, scalloped potatoes and a beef carving station. Bernardo had set the room for four food lines so everyone was able to move through quickly. We also ordered cupcakes and a small cake through Ranch. They offered several flavors and all the options were so delicious! The servers and bartenders we hired through ranch were all very pleasant and accommodating. An extra special mention to Saul, our head host/captain. He was at our venue the night before our wedding, setting up and perfecting all of our tables. Since we were there for rehearsal already, we were able to set a few things up that night. We asked Saul for extra tables and a few last minute layout changes. Anything we asked, he would go out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. He was so pleasant to work with and his hard work and dedication was appreciated. The day of our wedding he really made sure that everything ran smooth as well. The venue, the food, the service, the decorations and the entire experience working with Bernardo and his team was an absolute delight. We were so lucky to have been able to work with Bernardo. He genuinely cared about us and making our day perfect. We used the Seaside room for our wedding ceremony and reception site in March 2015. We worked with Bernardo as our point of contact and I have the highest compliments for him and his staff. From the first day we met with Bernardo, he took a genuine interest in what we wanted for the wedding and reception. The fact he controlled the room setup, décor and catering was a tremendous advantage and made it easier for us to focus on other vendors. The reception went exactly as promised, the buffet lines went smoothly and there were no significant delays to get everyone served. We received compliments on the food quality and it exceeded our expectations. Choosing the cupcake option allowed us to choose a variety of flavours and guests were able to sample the multiple options. Ranch catered our wedding at Marina Village on 3/12/15. It was beautiful and everything went exactly as I hoped! The food was delicious -- perfect really! The short ribs were to die for! Rhonda was our contact there, she was so sweet and helpful and amazing! She helped us plan every detail and really made my dream come true. We were on a tight budget, Rhonda was open to negotiating the price and working with us on that. She also made sure we had the pretty chairs (makes a difference not having to use a separate rental company) and every detail the way we wanted. Even down to the way the napkins were folded! Staffs were very helpful too, setting up early in the day so we could put down our DIY centrepieces. Our event captain, he was very nice and gracious.
