Boll Weevil is my FAVORITE resturant! They have amazing service. DO NOT listen to the other bad reviews because they have no clue on what they are talking about. I have been to Boll Weevil millions of times and I have NEVER EVER had a bad burger or bad service. I take my family and kids there all the time. It is a very kid friendly place. And by the way the burgers are not frozen and they do NOT taste anything like the nasty vomit Mc Donald's! Sorry but do not listen to the other reviews they have only gone there a couple times. I visit SD every couple of months to visit my son. No trip is complete without a stop at Boll Weevil. Yeah, it's just a burger, but the flavor of the meat is unmatched. Wow this place is awesome! I came with some friends for Taco Tuesday. The tacos are like $2 to $3 each which isn't bad for the quality you get. There was plenty of meat and fixings in there. I had 3 /9the al pastor, carnitas, and carne asada) which were all great. I think I liked the al pastor one the most. Our waitress Carolyn was nice and very attentive. She helped us out with whatever we needed and we really didn't even have to ask her. The best part is she did it with a smile. AMAZING!!!!! I'm expecting light to shine down from the skies onto Phils BBQ. This place needs no introduction, it's popular by people cities away and you wouldn't do San Diego justice unless you make this a stop. The line usually extends all the way around the restaurant and takes awhile. Though what I've been doing the last few times is just ask to be seated next to the bar and you don't have to wait in line at all. Service seems to be a bit lacking if you're sitting at the bar and not ordering alcohol but I get it, but I'm also hungry! I'd recommend sticking with the baby back ribs as the beef ribs are a bit on the dry side and not as tasty. This place is all in the sides! Macaroni salads are a must!
