I was very impressed with the quality of explanations about firearms/products that were given to other customers in the store while I was there. We recently bought a canoe from Mel's Trading Post. The people in the camping department went out of their way to help us. They let us try out a couple of different canoes on area lakes to see how they would handle. They offered us a lot of information on the canoes and were genuine in helping us decide. Knowledgeable and strait-shooting, the folks at Mel's are great people to bring your business to. They will tell you what they really think and in my experience always put customer satisfaction above making a sale. They carry the best products because they are the best store in the area and the top outdoor companies want their products in their store.
