My insurance company brought Floors By Design to my attention first. Even though I had dealt with a competitor of theirs before, I ended up going with Floors By Design because they were 2-3 cheaper than my normal person.\t\n\t\nThey were always on time, excellent to talk to and they usually left things clean before they left. One time, they something was left off and I called the boss and told him and he sent someone right back out lickety-split to fix it, which they did. And everything was fine.\t\n\t\nHowever, when it came time to put the tile down, they had taken off the baseboards and the tile was thicker than they had thought so it was running into the shelf brackets. They came up with a Mickey Mouse solution and bent the brackets to make the tile fit. I had to hire a contractor to come in and saw off the brackets. That's why I gave the four rating. I went in to Floors By Design looking for a kitchen and bathroom solution. They were more than helpful and friendly. I picked out one type of flooring, then a few days later they called back and said that after they had measured the floors there would be two slices that would be seen, and it would be best to pick another design. I heeded their recommendation, and the floor is beautiful! Other places would have just gone ahead and put it in, because it's what you ordered, but Floors By Design was very helpful in their recommendation. Previously, weâÂÂve had carpet installed by Home Depot and DaltonâÂÂs and both have done nice jobs, but nothing that really impressed us. Antique wool rugs are fragile so gentleness and care should be taken when trying to keep them clean. They do get dirty from time to time but they cannot be cleaned like most rugs.
