I took a Husqvarna walk behind mover to have a cable replaced. I thought it would be a warranty repair since the mower was only 6 months old. After having it look at, it was pointed out that the cable had been stepped on where it went through the mower deck and that is why it broke, and that it would not be covered under the warranty. Is said fine, I still would like to get it replaced. I was told that sometimes that cable cannot be ordered separately from the control handle and they might have to be ordered together. \r\nI found this hard to believe and called Husqvarna support and was told that they could be ordered separately and was given a part # and a price of $29. When I went to pick up my mower the owner of the shop told me that they could not be ordered individually and that the cost of the cable and handle were $69.95. I said hmmm, I was told by Husqvarna that they could be order individually and here is the part # they gave me. \r\nHe said, well when I ordered yours, they cable was out of stock so I had to order both. I said I would have been nice if you would have given me the option to wait for the cable to be in stock or to pay the extra money, you just spent $40 of my money without ever contacting me. He said that it can tack 2 or 3 weeks for that cable to get in. I said, its November, I think I can wait 2 or 3 weeks. \r\nAt this point he knew he was caught and tried to backpedal and offered to not charge me for the labor.
