My daughter's wedding was back in 2008, and I was just thinking about these guys after re-watching the video. These guys were the life of the night... hardly anyone went home before it was over, and we know darn well it was because of the guys from Whatcom Sound. I had people come up to me and tell me how much better the music and showmanship was compared to any other wedding they had been to. With the exception of 2 elderly family members, DJ Andy had the ENTIRE crowd doing "the train" across the dance floor, around the tables, out of the building, then back inside, with the bride and groom leading the pack! They brought more lights and more music than we had the money to pay for, and made my daughter and son-in-law's night unforgettable, not to mention the rest of the crowds. Please call these guys if you are looking for a wedding DJ. They are very interactive, very professional, and extremely nice. If you live in Washington, you should feel lucky to have these guys as an option. ...read more

2009 has been a busy year already for U and Me Dance www.uandmedance.com , and part of that bustle and excitement is due to Showcase. What is Showcase you ask? Showcase is a production show that features U and Me Dance Students and Instructors in beautifully choreographed dance routines. Showcase pieces are usually in a Ballroom or Latin dance style, though some are more contemporary or feature a seemingly impossible amount of lifts. The one thing all these shows have in common is they are performed by hard-working, highly-entertaining students for your viewing pleasure! Showcase is a ticketed event, with tickets going on sale April 15th. The Showcase dates are Friday May 15th at 8pm and Saturday May 16th at 2pm. For tickets, call (360) 676-0292 or email azita@uandmedance.com Students performing in Showcase come in all ages, sizes, abilities, levels. We have a diverse group of students, and for many of them this will be their first Showcase. They will be working for the first time towards creating a full-scale performance, with costume, make-up, lighting, lifts, and of course, featuring one dance in the Ballroom or Latin style. For others, veteran Showcase performers, they will be increasing their difficulty, maybe crossing styles in their dances, or working towards using their Showcase piece for a Solo at an upcoming dance competition. We also have an out of this world Professional Show Saturday, May 16th at 8pm. The Pro Show is a masterpiece, featuring dancing at the highest levels, with slick footwork, amazing lifts, graceful lines, and expert story-telling. Past Pro Shows have featured National and International Latin Finalists, Yegor and Ekaterina; Salsero extraordinaire Israel Chavez; National 9 Dance Finalists, Show Dance Champions, and International Performers, Bellingham's own Nathan Simler and Lecie McNees. Something we've added in recent years, to the delight of the performers and audience, is a Vote for the Top 5. For the Showcase, we ask all audience members to vote for their Top 5 performances. At the end of both shows, the votes are tallied, and the Top 5 student performances will be featured in the Saturday evening Pro Show!
