In an era when big-box stores who happen to sell fine jewelry are increasingly the only option even in small towns, it's so nice to still have a small, reputable, locally owned jewelry shop of long standing in the community. Mr. Childrey, the owner of Garland's, still waits on customers, does appraisals, repairs, etc. and took his time to help me with questions about selling my rings even though I was not purchasing anything or having them appraised.
