This store is great. I love to get breakfast tacos from here, the food is so authentic and cheap. The barbacoa and carnitas on the weekends are the best. They have so much variety of meat and they are all fresh. I even ask for them to cut me steaks in a special kind of cuts and they do it for me. This place is amazing! The meat is fresh and they help you get what you need. The staff is very helpful and super nice. They make you feel welcome and they give you really good prices. My favorite meat to buy is the Fajita its marinated but not like with the red seasoning but its like a clear seasoning and its so good and tender, the best meat I have tried from all over Houston. They have new owners since 2014 the meat is so nasty and burned and omg produce is horrible.. now try to get some tacos they are so greasy sorry.. I wouldn't recommend this place.. rather go to the michoacana downthe road on ella ...read more

Our family business got its start in 1944, when brothers Melvin and Israel Tapick hatched the idea of selling fresh poultry from the yard behind their mother’s neighborhood grocery store.
