We talked a lot about what I did and didn't want for my wedding bouquets (and used photos), but it didn't matter. They looked nothing like what I wanted, or what they told me they would make. The bouquets looked like a perfect combination of everything that I asked them specifically not to do. I think they went into "auto wedding mode" and didn't actually pay attention to what I wanted. When my family came for a visit, I needed to find something to do, that both adults and children will enjoy.We ended up going to the Texas State Aquarium in Corpus Christi, and everyone had lots of fun : the tour starts indoors with giant fish tanks where you can admire sharks, coral, sea turtles. A special room, unlit, is reserved for jelly fish of all kind that seem like they glow in the dark. Both kids and adults particularly enjoyed the magic of this room. We then headed to the outdoor part of the aquarium, to see the dolphins, otters and crocodiles.The tour ends in a vast picnic area with a wading pool and a playground for the children, where we stayed for a couple of hours.My family and I already made plans to go back to the aquarium on their next visit! ...read more

Being new to the area I walked into this store looking for a bracelet gift for a co-worker. The door was open and the sign next to the door said the "chicks were in". As I started to look around I was confronted by a sales person who asked if she could help me. I told her I was looking for a bracelet. Instead of performing outstanding customer service and showing me her selection, I was told the store was closed and had closed at 5:30. So I left. Getting out to my car and looking at my cell phone it told me the time was 5:26. I then felt like this person did not want my business and it was more important to get off early than to spend a minute or two selling me a specific item I was looking for. I knew this might be appreciated. Crafting and sending one of a kind Christmas greetings cards is one thing I've always really enjoyed. Growing up, my family has always had a sort of competition related to Christmas Greeting Cards.. Its never ever been spoken of, but I promise you the ladies know about it. Perhaps it's a sister thing, or a girl thing, but every year Merry Christmas Cards from my family get progressively more excessive. The men in the family are simply along for the rough tedious horribly irritating journey. From being buried up to your neck at the shore or scaling a huge mountain to shoot the perfect Christmas greeting card photograph, surely they'd put an end to it. What good sports they are. The Christmas Greetings Cards that always win in my opinion though are the ones with new born little ones in them. Of all of the images That I have filed and arranged, the images that get put in my "make sure you keep" drawer are those that have Christmas scenes in them. One of the most pleasant customs during the Christmas season is looking at a Christmas time only photo album I have made displaying an annual snapshot of our whole family. My concern is the following. Two modest obstacles this holiday season. Thinking of the most amazing and original Xmas greetings card idea this holiday season is my 1st problem. Selecting a better strategy to display, organize, and tag all the photos from prior Xmas holidays is my other hurdle. Thank heavens for personal computers. The idea eventually seeped through my dense head and into my decrepit old brain one day when asking my Facebook friends how they maintained and organized their Christmas time photographs. It wouldn't occur to me until much later just how restrictive limiting myself to an old fashioned photo album actually was. I felt so ridiculous. These photo management programs are totally amazing. It is so simple I could hardly believe it. Virtually all of the faces are circled. Identify a couple and the program starts finding and labeling the remaining for you! Sort all of them according to date. Right away all of your Xmas photographs are separated. Location. Arrange together Christmas at Grandma Jeffries in 2004, or granddad Stan's house in 2011. Just exceptional. I am able to do a search for all of the photos of my nephew Jack. Think I'll have a look at my boy on his second birth day? I will need like twenty-five secs please. Old style physical photo book? Senior moment? Hold on, there's even more! All those pictures can be found in the cloud, out there in the cosmos or something:). Every person in my entire family regardless of how far they are away can easily see these pictures anytime they want. I can create individual on-line album collections with a few clicks and send an email to everyone with photos of all of the new little babies this year, or the new little babies from every one of the past twenty years. Possibilities and potential are quite literally endless. This on-line internet album could be the solution to both of my problems.
