My boyfriend and I went to Solomon Brothers about a month ago on a Friday afternoon. We did not make an appointment but obviously we should have because the store was packed. We were sent to a male salesperson- I cannot recall his name- but he had a foreign accent. He was nice enough but obviously didn't know what he was doing. After having subsequent experiences at other local jewelry stores, I now see just how bad their service is. The man who showed us rings actually told me that the ring that I was interested in (an oval diamond with halo and pave band) would not look good and told us that he didn't personally like the ring. Wow- anyway, I'm curious about how their online service is though. Their prices seem competitive, but it also seems risky to buy a diamond without seeing it before.
