When I am at someones home I hear this question alot. So just how often should you get your carpeting cleaned? Using the carpet cleaning machine bought at the store does a fair job at helping to maintain a reasonably clean environment. Most carpet cleaning companies now use powerful truckmounted machines that remove more soil than other methods. It also leaves the carpet with little to no soapy residues as well. That means the carpet stays cleaner longer. Some people may need to have their carpeting cleaned more often than the manufacturers recommendation. A single person will definitely not have to have their carpet cleaned as often as a family of four or five.The whole reason behind the manufacturers recommended maintenance schedule is to validate the warranty that carries. If for some reason you have a warranty issue with your carpeting, the manufacturer will want to see the freqeuncy of the cleaning regimen.
