I had been doing business there since we purchased our motor new.My dad had been doing business there for over 10 years and trusted them, so I went there as well.I never really looked into the pricing because we felt they were treating us fairly.I always thought they were a little high but just figured that was just B.O.A.T. (break out another thousand).I needed a stator for my 225 H.P. Yamaha.(thats what their diagnosis was).Joe calls me and says he could get one for $875 which was the cheapest around.Plus 4hrs.@100 hr.$1275 plus extras, plus tax.Over $1300.Didnt seem right to me,so I called around for a stator.Another Dealer could get it from the same place they could, to me for just under $600.Called Joe and asked why he was so much higher even when he was making $400 in labor. He said that the ther guy works for free and he doesnt.WHAT!!$100/ hr. is free!!Needless to say I was insulted.Years of trust and over $50,000 in purchases and service.Makes me wonder how many other times they have robbed me or you.I now go to Don,s Marine in Tiverton.I will leave them a review as well.Who knows!!.The worst part of it all,its still not right!!!Hey,spread the word.GOD IS WATCHING!! ...read more

These guys are fantastic! Incredible service, honest sales staff. I tell everyone I know to go there and all that have thank me for the advice. I bought a new Yamaha 300 a few years ago from them, they quoted me a great price and quick turn around - then they came in under price and faster than they said. They often talk me out of spending money foolishly. They have gotten me parts after hours when I was stuck, they have fixed other yards bad work and they know their stuff and advise you as though you were family. ...read more

I have been a customer of theirs for 7 years! After having been overcharged for horrible service at 3 other area yards I finally found Walmsley. They have stayed late so I could get trailer parts when a Jamestown yard's service left my trailer broke down on the highway. Fixed my carbs when a Cape Cod yard's HUGE bill left me inoperable. When I needed a new Yamaha for my Grady they quoted me a great price - and then finished lower than the quote and quicker! Always fantastic service. Send everyone I know there and have been thanked endlessly for that referral by my friends. Like Fishwisperer said, they really do talk me out of spending money foolishly. If you go anywhere else you are crazy. ...read more
