Goal Life Coaching Gets Solutions--Create Leverage With A Life Coach

Throughout history, those living above the ordinary, those exceptional, auspicious individuals who have been fortunate enough to have developed their talent and creative ability-have enlisted the help of coaches. Why? Coaches help them to stay on top of their game. High achievers recognize they need someone who is objective in their point of view, have the ability to recognize patterns of mistakes, and also keep them motivated-to stay clear, focused, sharp, and always moving forward. Life Coaching has gone mainstream simply because everyday people want the same results in their own personal life giving them the ability to lives the best life then can-and they want it in a shorter period of time. It's for healthy people who want to align themselves with someone who will guide them through self discovery, client generated strategies and solutions, and accountability for achieving goals. It is not therapy or counseling. The focus is not on past issues, past experiences, or past behaviors-but rather a focused pragmatic, forward thinking way to help achieve goals and create harmony and balance in life. It's not necessary to know why there is a particular behavior; all that's necessary is to know what's going to be done to change it.The power of goal setting is released when it is written down and specifically describes the goal in detail. The most important component is the date. If there is no date, there is no goal! It makes the goal measurable and puts the responsibility on the goal setter who is also being held accountable to it. Next, the obstacles and action steps follow. Goal setting is a skill that can be learned-just like learning to ride a bike or typing on a keyboard.Goal life coaching will help you get to solutions that will move you from the past and into the present where the awareness of opportunities and possibilities will allow you to be the author of your own future life story. I believe that all the answers are inside each of us; my coaching moves the discovery to them more quickly. Visit my starter website,http://LifeCoachNewport.com. Goal Life Coaching--Change Unproductive Habits

If you do what you've always done, you are going to get what you've always got.  Changing unproductive habits and replacing them with new ones takes time and patience.  Do you realize that close to 90% of our behaviors are formed from habits?  Here's an example:  You are just leaving the gym after a great workout, refreshing shower, and on your way to work.  It is a routine and ritual.  You've trained yourself through habit to complete this behavior three times a week.  This is a good habit  because it brings you the pleasure of starting your day with having done something good for you, and you are ready to face the world with energy and a smile.  Habits are a good thing because they free the mind up to think of other things. It wasn't always like this.  You were lazy and umotivated.  The first thing you needed to do was to get yourself up early in the morning because it was the best time to fit a workout in your schedule.  The second thing you needed to do was set up a trigger to become accustomed to.  That trigger was the alarm clock being set at 6 a.m.  You never get up before 7.  So, you needed to practice getting right up as soon as the alarm went off.  It took a while, but finally you developed the habit of getting up at the appointed time.  Also, you needed to change your association of hearing the alarm clock going off to a pleasurable experience rather than a tortuous event.  So, you needed to condition yourself to associate pleasure with hearing the alarm clock go off.  You needed to think of how dedicated you are to getting yourself fit and trim and how awesome you are going to feel and look--when that alarm rings.  Instead of associating pain with the event, you now associate pleasure and jump out of bed with a motivated, energized body ready to start a productive day and new habit. In order to shape a new productive habit, you have to decide 100% that you are committed to do whatever it takes.  Remember an unproductive habit gave you pleasure in some way or you wouldn't have invested the time and energy in developing it.  The old habit is out the window and it is a feeling of relief to think that you don't have to deal with the bad feelings associated with it once a new one firmly takes its place.  The next step is to become aware of the feelings associated with the bad habit--meaning an awareness of the feeling created just before doing it--it would be either some form of pleasure or pain.  The bad trigger could be the rationalization that exercising is boring and you don't feel like doing it.  So you feeling unmotivated.  Well, devise a list of the benefits of the new habit and put it where you can easily see it as a reminder..  Replace the unproductive with a new, positive one.  It will take 30 days to install a new habit. An example of that could be instead of eating everything on your plate, you push it away and leave some food on it.  Or you reach for a book or a glass of water instead of reaching inside the refrigerator--to take away the focus and create a distraction--read a book. You also need to reward yourself for your progress along with tracking it. Lastly, if you relapse--don't beat yourself up.  Just get a cup and put $2.00 in it as a reminder, and start all over again.  If you realize you committed the bad habit after the fact, it is a good thing--a start. Most important of all, you will be more successful if you get in tuned with the trigger feeling before doing the unproductive behavior.  It may be the feeling of anxiety or frustration that you are reaching into the refrigerator without really being hungry because of an issue having to do with one of your personal relationships that is causing the feeling.  You need to search a little deeper as ito the root of the cause.  You may be surprised..
