YES, it is true. This is literally the worst company to rent from, stay away. Owner Dennis Simoes is the ultimate scumbag slumlord. I lived in a sh*thole of a house for exactly one year and he didn't fix a thing (like broken basement windows in the middle of December!) I did everything by the law -- wrote letters, withheld rent, documented problems, took photos. I called L&I who came by and documented a laundry list of violations with the home with which they cited Dennis. And yet, he did nothing. With the help of his lying, trashbag of a secretary Katie, he tried to threaten me with eviction if I didn't turn the rent over (which, by law, was in escrow). I was sick, I lost weight, I never slept, I was scared every day. But I refused to back down. I got a lawyer. We ended up in court. I won and kept my escrow. Dennis ran out of that courtroom like the rat he is, tail between his legs. And then I moved out. The end. I hope he rots in his own filth.
