Great China Buffet

We used to eat at the old China Buffet and It was totally awesome. The new place just opened last week and we went tonight. What a Rip off - they no longer have crablegs and half of the items they used to have are gone - The steaks are paper thin and full of fat and the dessert counter is limited and was empty most of the time. The mountain dew was sooo watered down it was flat and no taste\t\n\t\nThis place will be closed in a month - dont waste your money - go to the one in Crandberry - They Rock There - ...read more

I was there tonight with some friends. Our first impression was bad cause we were the only customers in the restaurant but when we received our plates (sushi) we just change our mind. The food was excellent, i had some washington sushi and they were great. Definitely a good place to eat or moreover, to take out!! ...read more

Some of these people who eat here have no idea what goes on here. The kitchen staff is gross and thats putting it lightly...Ive rarely seen them clean anything and when they do its usually taking out all the lunch meats and placing them on the counter..Don and Tony care about money and little else. Lots of crazy druggie drunks in this place. Always has and seemingly always will as long as the cops want DUI revenue. ...read more

There is no better pizza to be had in Pittsburgh. Don't know about the restaurant as I always get delivery, but 4 out of 5 times this is the best pizza you've ever had. The 5th time you feel like they were waiting on the fresh pepperoni and mushroom truck, but if you do some soul searching, you realize you're only upset because they've got you used to having your expectations so high. I feel like everyone knows me when I call and when the delivery person shows up. Just good, decent people working there and you can tell. As for other reviews, I don't care who smokes where - people are too uptight. Seriously! Going to a pizza-specializing restaurant and expecting a trendy uptown atmosphere is delusional behavior. I'd rather have good food and leave my pretense at the door. I want to try their other food, but I'll have to wait until I can eat there, as non-pizza/calzone items do not travel well no matter where you get them. ...read more

We are a professional couple and have eaten at Bellisario's for years, usually at the bar. The crowds change...Sometimes there are younger people but when we go there is usually a mix of middle-aged people of varying backgrounds, white collar, blue collar...just like the rest of Pgh. The food is absolutely delicious....Scrod siciiano...unique and wonderful house dressing...homemade ravioli...eggplant stuffed w/ spinach and sausage...fish sandwich.....just a few of our favorites. The staff is very friendly and accomodating and the draft beer is cheap. If you are looking for a well decorated, high-end refined bar....this isn't it. If you want a true neighborhood bar and don't mind restrooms that definitely need a facelift and can deal with seeing the owner smoke, ...try Bel's. ...read more

The food here is pretty good, but even though 11:00 is when they're supposed to open (listed right on the door and their menu), I've called several times at 11:30 or later only to find they haven't physically arrived in the building yet. Pretty frustrating when you have a scheduled lunch time... ...read more

The service at this restaurant is horrible. They are disorganized, rude and ignore some tables while they chat with their friends. We used to go nearly once per week, always tipped well, in spite of the service, and have now stopped because of how badly we were treated on our last visit. While the waitress went over and sat down to talk to customers she knew, we waited 25 minutes to be waited on and another 25 just to get a check (after asking several times). I had to actually get up and walk over to the waitress station to ask for it again -- then it was thrown on our table. We can't begin to figure out why we were treated so badly -- but can guarantee that it won't happen again! I'll spend my money elsewhere! ...read more

Kotobuki Japanese Restaurant

If you want great sushi, try another place. The Korean chirashi I ordered was comprised of what seemed to be scraps of fish not used for nigiri; the fish itself was sinewy and not the quality to which I am accustomed. I paid 16.95 for this dish and got very little fish at all. I also ordered some very good maki called ""sunkist"". I would recommend it, but only for those who like at least a 5 on a ""spicy hot"" scale of 1-10. Compared to Tabasco, I found it to be spicier. Overall, even though I got very good and friendly service, at those prices I expect better quality and more fish. ...read more

How Do Restaurants Make Enchiladas?

Many people think that an enchilada in a restaurant is much better than anything they can ever find at home, unless they know a lot of Hispanic people.
