Kotobuki Japanese Restaurant

I was there tonight with some friends. Our first impression was bad cause we were the only customers in the restaurant but when we received our plates (sushi) we just change our mind. The food was excellent, i had some washington sushi and they were great. Definitely a good place to eat or moreover, to take out!!

If you want great sushi, try another place. The Korean chirashi I ordered was comprised of what seemed to be scraps of fish not used for nigiri; the fish itself was sinewy and not the quality to which I am accustomed. I paid 16.95 for this dish and got very little fish at all. I also ordered some very good maki called ""sunkist"". I would recommend it, but only for those who like at least a 5 on a ""spicy hot"" scale of 1-10. Compared to Tabasco, I found it to be spicier. Overall, even though I got very good and friendly service, at those prices I expect better quality and more fish.

IMO, easily top 3 in Pittsburgh for fresh sushi and traditional cooking. great atmosphere and great price.
