This "company" demanded partial payment upfront then failed to complete the job. Additionally, due to shoddy workmanship and/or poor prep, they cost me at least an additional $1000.00 to hire an another company to redo portions of a wood floor. Finally, they have recently "recreated" their profile on BBB and now have mysteriously risen from an F rating to an A (the only "review" on this is someone specifically saying that any bad ratings come from non-costumers and frauds- in the same vein as another "review" recently posted on merchant circle by 123loft). They had nothing but great things to say about them.... but i never do any work without going online and checking people out. I will never again deal with this company. We purchased carpet and installation for our recently purchased home and were disappointed with the lack of understanding from this company when their salesman (who was since fired) ordered too little carpet to do the job correctly. The manager at the Broadview Hts. store told us he would make it right and order a new piece of carpet and have it installed at our earliest convenience. Several weeks later, with a half completed job, I had to call and he said that he wanted to send his "repairman" to see if the original piece would work. The repairman came and promised he could do the job, and "You won't even be able to see a seam". He was supposed to come that Saturday and when he did not show up, we called him...he said "Didn't the manager call you?" No one had called us. The following Monday, I again called the manager and arranged for installers to come to my house that Friday (more time lost at work for me). They made the original carpet fit, but the seams are pretty noticable and I am not satisfied. The owner in Columbus refused to make any kind of effort to satisfy us. Our experience with Americas Floor Source is hands down the absolute worst experience my family has ever had with any retail company. We were initially concerned about purchasing carpeting for our home anywhere because of all the scams out there and the poor reputation of the industry in general, but the salesman at the Trabue Road location in Columbus Ohio promised us repeatedly that the owner would promptly address and fix any problems that may arise. This put our minds at ease enough to make the purchase, but our carpeting arrived damaged, severely fraying in several spots. The installers reported the issue, and we figured that it would be resolved quickly since it was clearly damage not caused by us. Well that was a year ago. In that year there has been zero contact from this shady operation. They cashed our check for thousands but disappeared the moment there was a problem.
