I read some of the negative reviews and I am quiet surprised. I have went to Spa Castle in Queens, 5 times and enjoyed every moment. First and foremost, I read from someones comment that there were GHETTO kids running around and disrupting and said the staff didn't do anything because they were "SCARED"....My question is did you advise the staff?, did you- yourself ask those kids to keep it down?- was it cause you were scared as well?...Also, if something of your personal items is missing because you weren't watching it, WHOS FAULT IS IT REALLY????- I mean are you from NY?- cause if you are, you really should know better!- Seriously! and most Spas are expensive, how many have you all been to?....I have been to a couple and Spa Castle is still one of my fav's. Yeah there are kids from time to time that can be a bother, but I OPEN MY MOUTH and either the staff will help or they (the kids) will just knock it off- SIMPLE AS THAT! My niece gave me a $50 gift card for Christmas and used it for the 1st time on 5/8/10 and was told it only had $15 on it, they made me wait 1 hr, were rude and said it was used on 5/3/10 for $35, I had to pay the difference. They also said they closed at midnight and starting closing everything at 10:30 and threw everyone out at 11:00PM. The staff of Koreans are very very rude to their guest. Manager lacks managerial skills and threatened to throw my sister out for disputing the issue about the card. Over priced and bad treatment! Never going back there again and will tell all my friends not to go there. Upon leaving, only two people at the desk to help guests pay for their stay there and the line goes out the door and there was an issue with many guests for additional things charged that weren't supposed to be charged!!!! If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would, however, that wasn't an option. I purchased a gift certificate as a Christmas gift for my aunt, and when she went to use it, they told her it had already been used and that the certificate was purchased in Jan 2009. Impossible, I have a bank statement as proof that I purchased it DEC 17, 2009. They were very rude and argued with her that thier records are accurate. WELL APPARENTLY NOT when I have proof from my bank. They proceeded to take the certificate from her and throw it out, stating that it was of no use. They made her wait for 1 hour and when she asked for the receipt back, as proof for her records, they again told her that she did not need it anymore as it was not valid. Had it not been for her daughters birthday, she would have left. Needless to say, they were very far from accomodating even after having approx. 30 pple in the party.
