Damiano Pharmacy

1.0

By Tutti at Citysearch

If there is any wonder as to why the Botony Village is in decline we have slum lords like Damiano to thank. I looked at a rental in his building and it was deplorable! There were twin mattresses on the floor and the place was filthy. Clifton should do a better job overseeing rentals in this area. The building looks great on the outside - trust me, it's all a facade. ...read more

OroLatina LLC

5.0

By Maxx D.

Orolatina has a tremendous selection of boutique style gold & diamond jewelry. I called them to discuss making a purchase for my wife (10 year anniversary). After looking at an array of beautiful gold jewelry styles, I purchased a diamond necklace from them (this one: http://www.orolatina.com/product/4408-0.html ). I paid 2900.00 USD. It came in a black velvet show case and appraised at a Macy's jeweler for $4400.00. After talking to their rep, I discovered that their website is an extension of an existing wholesale operation that has been in the diamond district for over 25 years. The owner's son, a technical fellow with a passion for winning customers business, built the website and partnered with his father. I will use these guys again for sure. ...read more

What Everybody Should Know About Online Shopping

The internet has provided people with so many opportunities in the last decade. It has destroyed limits placed by distance and has allowed people to share information from across the planet instantly over the World Wide Web. One of the most revolutionary aspects it has created is online shopping.     Simply put, people can now buy things from stores and from other people over the internet. Sellers post pictures and descriptions about their products and wait for people to order from them. Once they have placed their orders, they can pay in a number of ways including but not limited to the following: 1. Credit card 2. Debit card 3. Cash on Delivery     What's not to like about this new and exciting internet shopping method? It's fast, simple and convenient. You don't even have to go to the mall to get something because you can practically get anything and everything online.     While you won't get to inspect whatever it is that you want to buy online personally, you save yourself the trouble of going all the way to the mall and having to deal with traffic and long lines. This system allows shoppers to make purchases from the comfort of their own homes.     If you are hungry, simply choose from one of the hundreds, if not thousands, of fast food restaurant websites and start clicking. Input your order and contact details and they'll deliver your food directly to your doorstep. Most online food delivery services allow customers to pay on a C.O.D. or cash-on-delivery basis.     When you come across the latest gadget on the internet, look for sites that carry the product of your liking instead of hopping around different malls and stores just to compare prices. Once you've found the store which sells it for the lowest possible price, you can order it online and they'll ship it to your house. Shopping online may be enticing because of its simplicity and convenience but before you go and punch in your credit card number, do some research on the online stores you want to do business with and see if the place you want to shop at is legit. Internet crimes are becoming more and more common. Since people can create websites freely, they can also start their own bogus websites and pretend to sell items. Even though a website is carefully constructed and well designed, it doesn't mean that it's automatically a "real" online store, you could still get tricked into thinking they'll actually send you something for your money.     Utilize online search engines and see what people are saying about the company or ask some friends if they've already tried buying from that particular store. You'll never know when you can encounter a scammer online so it would be best to read up on what kind of store you will be buying from before making you're an actual purchase. Overall, online shopping has provided the general public an alternative to physically traveling all the way to some place just to buy things. You don't have to exhaust yourself by going to stores -- you can just go online and start clicking. ...read more

Controlling Shopping Urges and Avoiding Debt

In this modern day and age where technology rules and being fashionable is cool, material things are often the basis for a person's happiness and success in life. Sadly, not everybody is able to access such luxuries because of varying opportunities and inequality.      Money doesn't grow on trees and people have to work hard in order to acquire it. When they get their money, they have to pay for utility bills, rent, necessities like food and water and if there's any amount left, they could spend it on leisure.      However, a lot of people around the world are getting into debt because they fail to spend their money properly. Prioritizingshoppingfrenzies over paying your bills can lead to very dire consequences.      Even though it is generally known that people should settle bills concerning their "needs" over their "wants" first, a large number of people still give in to the temptation of purchasing unnecessary things that are not within their budget.      Perhaps the greatest tool that fans the flames of temptation is the credit card. It allows people to gain instant access to things they can't afford and gives them the option to pay for the things they buy later. While it may sound like the best thing you've ever heard in your life, credit cards are like a wolf in sheep's clothing.      Some people cannot control their urges to buy things simply because they have increased spending power. If you don't have cash on you, you can always use your credit card and pay for whatever it is you bought later. The problem is that if you don't pay on time, interest rates go higher and higher and you have to pay more than you originally would have hoped for.      Since a lot of material things are becoming a part of people's daily lives, people want to spend more in order to keep up with the times.   Over the last century, people have invented things like cars, television sets and other gadgetry and machinery which have since brought convenience and entertainment into people's lives.   More recently, the introduction of portable mp3 players which allow its owners to listen to music on the go have also become part of the latest fads. Both desktop and laptop computers have also been integrated in contemporary human life because of their ability to let people access information around the world via the internet.   With all these great products out in the market, who wouldn't be tempted to buy them one by one?   The best way to acquire these items is by saving up a portion of your monthly salary and waiting until you have enough money to get whatever it is that you want.   In conclusion, the moral lesson here is that you shouldn't jeopardize your family's financial security by abusing your credit card and going on ashoppingspree if you can't afford it. Keep your emotions in check and don't give in to sudden impulses when you shop. Having the option to pay for something later is a privilege – don't abuse it. ...read more
