While visiting my Grandparents over the weekend I was shocked at a customer service story they shared with me. Being as I work in a business that our customer service is TOP priority I was completely appalled to hear of a local business treating a customer with such distaste & unprofessionalism. In attempting to order a specific item needed they were prompted to pay up front, which typically is not a problem. However, the last time they had special ordered something through House of Vacuums after paying up front promises of a specific backorder date were broken once a week for 6 months, Not wanting to relive this particular fate they opted to have them order it with a promise of a phone call once in & they would pick up and pay at the same time. After 6 weeks of waiting on for their special order they entered the store to check on the B/O of the item. They were told that the House of Vacuums sold the remaining stock to another source and they would not Sell to my Grandparents until pay ...read more

have a G5 Kirby that was very sick. I took it over to the House of Vacuums in High Point, and they explained to me why a great quality vacuum needs to be serviced a least every five years to extend the life of the product. After a new fan kit, a bracket cam and transmission alignment and reseating the commentator and replacing the carbon brushes in the motor my old Kirby was good as new again for a very fair price.
