I bought a Burger's bone-in country ham for my family's Christmas dinner from Wal-Mart. When I unwrapped it, it had mold all over it, which was quite gross to look at. The instructions said this was normal. Ever the optimist, I warmed it in the oven according to directions. My husband, who had to slice it, said it smelled gross and like it was ruined. Noone ate any of it and I had to get it out of the kitchen because my husband just couldn't get past the smell. I'm sorry, I was raised in the country and I've never had anything close to that in my kitchen. What a waste of $35.00. Fortunately, I had also cooked a small turkey breast and we ate it instead. We ordered a half semi-boneless city ham. It came in at the lower end of the weight range promised. I understand that it is just a range but since it was cut from the shank end there were only 2 inches of spiral cut ham for which we paid $55. I like this company but this wasn't anywhere close to good value. ...read more

Having tested their Bacon by orderinig the sample pack. I have no doubt that the rest of their merchandise will exceed my values as great tasting. Wasn't sure that the pepper wasn't going to turn my off, but it wound up being my favorite and am going to be ordering Xmas presents based on their packages. ...read more
