Ho, Ho, Ho, Hold the Bigger portions Please!

Ho, Ho Ho, Hold the Bigger Portions Please! How do you hold on to your hunger during the holidays? it is so hard with all those wonderful temptations, all those goodies, all those delicious desserts,   somebody please HELP ME! Divadish has some suggestions for you to enjoy your holidays and eat healthy too. Here are some tips:  Avoid Hunger Don't skip meals, and eat a small, low fat snack before your holiday feast. Take small portions and use a smaller plate so you can and your portion will look bigger. Focus on family and friends, NOT FOOD. Choose wisely. Bring veggies and fruits, nuts, and baked chips or crackers for yourself and to share so you can feel like you are enjoying the snack time of the meal. Limit the butter and dressings, gravy, or sugar based snacks. Beverages. Avoid Soda's, alcohol, and power drinks, these tend to increase your appetite's, and weaken your willpower. Carbonation allows us to overeat because of the bubbles it causes, hence the belching when we drink soda, or beer.  You can have a good holiday, and it is about all these things I mentioned, Food, Friends, Family, so go on and enjoy all of that and keep these tips in mind as you do. I hope this blog has helped and to all A GOOD&HEALTHY; HOLIDAY! The Diva Chef Gianna ...read more
