Before you can start any kind of project, home improvement or otherwise, you have to get some assemblance of order to your home. Hence, declutter! A couple of quick decluttering tips. 1 - Throw 5 things away daily. I know, you think you do not have 5 things to throw away. What about that junk mail flyer? the bottle cap? the sticker sheet your daughter emptied? how about the dried play-doh? the victoria's secret catalog? that wrapper on the counter? Do you get my drift yet? Of course you do. If you add, throw 5 things to your daily "to-do" list, trust me, you will slowly but surely de-clutter your home. I personally put "throw 15 things" on my daily to do list. Trust me, I have no problem. 2 - Start with a small project. I will suggest a "junk drawer." We all have them. Some of us have more than one. You will be amazed at what you can get rid of in a small amount of time and you will feel that much better because you actually finished an assignment. Once you work your way through the small projects. Move to bigger and better. The linen closet? The laundry room? The toy box? If you are the type of person who is not inclined to throw things, then donate them.
