There are so many aspects to being a professional belly dancer to focus on at the beginning of each year. Furthering our dance skills, re-evaluating the content of the classes we teach, new costumes for performances, and where we are going as a group are all things that we evaluate each year. No matter your skill level, it is important you challenge yourself as a dancer. Pick new moves and further fine tune them or focus on a new skill. Each new year should bring at least one new belly dance challenge. Try the zills this year or take egyption classes. Even if you specialize in one style, challenge yourself by learning moves in an alternate style this year. It is our belief that each new experience adds to your dance style and in the end makes you a better dancer.
