I called the office, set up an appointment for a representative to come out to my parents home, they came out, called me within an hour to provide me with pricing to pack and move my parents. I agreed to the pricing, thought it was very fair! Their schedule allowed them to move me the day after Christmas. The crew and the representative arrived at my parents the morning of our move, was professional, friendly and worked hard to complete the move in what seemed like record time. The crew delivered everything, unpacked the boxes, and even put things away into the cabinets and closets! All we had to do was bring my parents there to start this new chapter. Snow or no Snow
I grew up in the White Mountains of New Hampshire where we hoped for snow and were extremely happy when it came. We skied at Waterville Valley, rode snowmobiles through the fields, snowshoed and sledded, and occasionally took the horse or pony for a sleigh ride. We counted on the snow for all sorts of reasons but without it the local economy suffered. I don't quite remember having difficulty getting to work, or talking with so many folks who might get cancelled because we might get snow. Thanksgiving Holiday Table Talk
Thanksgiving is fast approaching. I am in the midst of pulling together the menu for our families feast. This year joining us at our table is my new grandbaby! She is 3.5 months old and absolutely beautiful! Back to our menu. We of course have all of the traditional fare but always want to put a new twist on those recipes. So the decision for a recipe is a long process and one I put a great deal of thought into. But not only is Thanksgiving a great time for feasts, but also for family and a wonderful time to use as a reminder to check up on some very important things. The conversation isn't always easy but since there is family around perhaps you can garner some support. Mom and Dad are beginning to age. The home they are living in, where they raised the family, is less suited to their lifestyle than it used to be. We notice they are getting forgetful...who isn't?
