BEWARE: I recently used Omega Chem Dry Gaithersburg Office, Diamond Avenue address.. (240) 404-0200. They did a very poor job!....I am very dis-appointed!..I will never use them again. I called and voiced my dis-satisfaction. They sent someone out, but they did nothing. Basically went through the motions so that they could "say" they followed up. But their business heart was never really interested in trying to do anything to make the job better, or have a satisfied customer. At the end of the day why would they?..they already got paid...so who cares!... They are not a company of integrity. I orginally went with them because they had a better price,,,well like they say.."you get what you pay for"...I guess... Their service is of very poor quality. The guys that came out were very nice. But "nice" isn't cleaning the carpet. But I guess they just use water to clean carpets. ...read more

I have already recommended Maryland Carpet Repair and Cleaning! My living room carpet was beginning to pucker, so I needed to have it stretched. I called around to several other carpet places, but they didn't do that. I found Maryland Carpet Repair on the internet and called them. The technician was very polite, prompt, and thorough. He explained what he was doing, and did his job well. ...read more

When I used Maryland Carpet Repair and Cleaning for the first time, I submitted an online request for an estimate. They called me back right away, and the pricing they gave me was fair. It wasn't the highest, and it wasn't the lowest. We scheduled the appointment, and they showed up on time. They even called me 30 minutes before they got here. They got the carpet repair and cleaning done within two hours. The technician was very knowledgeable and professional. He gave me tips on how to maintain my carpet. I felt very comfortable having them in my home! ...read more

Well the gentlemen from Maryland Carpet Repair who cleaned my carpets yesterday did a FANTASTIC JOB! Even my husband is pleased! I usually do not write reviews for any company and this may be my first - but our carpets look brand new. My son, who has autism, had gum and juice stains in several areas of the house and paint stains (from finger painting) in his workroom - all of the gum and the stains are gone. My husband and I thought that we would have to replace the carpet but after having Maryland Carpet Repair clean our carpets we do not!! I have already recommended your company to relatives and I will continue to recommend you to other relatives and friends. The carpets look wonderful!! Maryland Carpet Repair is the best carpet cleaning company I have ever scheduled to have my carpets cleaned over the years; better than Stanley Steemer! I will definitely call Maryland Carpet Repair for future cleanings!! RESPONSE FROM Maryland Carpet Repair and Cleaning: Hello Mrs Libby, Thank you for your review of our company. We really appreciate the opportunity to work in your home. ...read more

My veterinarian recommended Maryland Carpet Repair and Cleaning to me when I wanted to rid my carpet of some pet stains. The gentlemen who came to do the cleaning were very businesslike and friendly. They did a really good job with the carpets. It took them about three hours to clean everything, but once they started, they didn't stop to take any breaks. Unfortunately, I waited too long to get them out to my home to clean, so there were some stains that they couldn't get out all the way, but I expected that. The pet stains in my living room and dining room were completely cleaned out though, and those were the most important things to me. They did a really good, professional job. I have already referred them to two other people, and I will continue to do so. RESPONSE FROM Maryland Carpet Repair and Cleaning: Thank you for your business. We are happy to hear that the services we provided met your expectations. ...read more

My experience with fame flooring was bad not once but two times. I know I should have know better. The workmanship is poor, they do not care about finishing the job and once you pay the advance you are stuck with them and they know it. They will make all kinds of excuses for the shoddy work and most annoying they try to pin the blame on you for their poor work and will try to gouge extra money from you. Be wary of smooth talk and act of caring for detail - all this will end as soon as you pay the advance. On the first job, they painted over the wood work on the wall, installed the dishwasher incorrectly and screwed up installation of an expensive faucet. I had to install a new dishwasher and faucet. On the second job, they left a big hole in the kitchen cabinets and to add insult to injury wanted me to pay to rectify it. The job is subcontracted with zero supervision by fame flooring. ...read more

What to Consider When Buying Rubber Mats

There are many things to keep in mind when searching for a rubber mat for your home or workplace. Rubber mats can be a sizable investment, so it’s important to put though into it and purchase something that will deliver returns for a long period of time. The most important variables to consider are those that most significantly impact form and function. They include: Length, material, texture, and price.   Important Things to Consider Length. For the most effective debris control, the average person should be able to take 3 steps without crossing fully from edge to edge. In 3 steps, industry experts estimate the mat has just enough time to remove a majority of dirt and debris. This goes a long way in keeping the interior spaces of buildings clean. It also helps to improve indoor air quality (IAQ), because air quality is often denigrated by the pollutants tracked into buildings on the underside of shoes.   Material. Sure, we’re talking about rubber mats. How many different types of rubber are there? Well, a lot. Click here to read up on types of commercial rubber. Additionally, you’ll have to decide if you want something first generation or recycled.   Texture. The texture of your rubber mats will play a large role in shaping the rest of your facility’s matting purchases and cleaning protocols. Different textures are available, ranging from “cleats” to “prongs.” Different textures deliver unique benefits that might range from more aggressive cleaning to superior moisture extraction and retention.   Price. Rubber mats are essential, so it’s easy to carelessly overspend without doing your due diligence. Using the information on the Rubber Matting Guide, however, you will be better equipped to make your purchase decision! The Best Umbrella Stands for High End Retail

High end retail locations thrive only when customer experience is exceptional. From the moment a customer enters the storefront, an air of pristine excellence must accompany their purview of the premises. Put simply, customers must feel as though they are in an upscale store—an environment that parallels the “more for more” value proposition of the goods and services offered therein.   What is Customer Experience? Customer experience, sometimes denoted CX, is generally defined as the relationship a customer and brand share. Some merchants think this relationship begins when the customer enters the store, and ends after the sale is made (or missed). However, customer experience is measured throughout the duration of the relationship between customer and brand. In this way, a positive trip to a high end retailer might be overshadowed by an extremely negative follow up visit. Thus, the sum total of customer experience becomes negative.   Defining customer experience goals are extremely important, especially in the world of high end retail. Failure to see the “devil in the details” can create an experience that is subpar, and missing the mark can slowly erode perceived value. Raining on the Parade Wind, rain, and snow happen often, yet they do not deter shopping and running mundane errands. High end merchants and service providers must anticipate “bad weather days,” but not just from the perspective of slip and fall prevention. If you sell high end goods or services, you must ask: How is weather affecting customer experience?   Rain undoubtedly takes away the energy and comfort of a situation. Add wind and cold temperatures, and it’s easy to see how the rainstorms of late fall, winter, and early spring zap the enthusiasm one feels when shopping. Understand this, and think of ways to improve customer experience despite inclement weather. Umbrella Bag Stands: Elegant, Appreciated, and Effective One highly effective way to improve customer experience in the midst of wind and rain is to anticipate and alleviate the discomfort customers are likely to feel. For example, stormy afternoons almost always require use of raincoats and umbrellas. Anticipate the discomfort it may cause customers to trudge through your store, heavy coat and dripping umbrella in tow. Alleviate the discomfort by offering coat racks, a coat check service, and automated umbrella wrappers.   Auto umbrella wrapping standsare the most elegant and effective of all “umbrella stand” products and options. In one smooth motion, customers can quickly bag their umbrellas to keep them dry while shopping. This is a preferable way of dealing with a wet situation, especially among shoppers who carry expensive umbrellas that should not be left unattended at an ordinary entryway umbrella stand or can. Prepare for Spring Prepare for spring shopping, today. Visitwww.UmbrellaBagger.comto shop a variety of umbrella stands, cans, and new auto-wrapping umbrella machines. Shopping for Handrails: Comparing Wood to Vinyl

At home at in the workplace, handrails serve a vital safety function. These quintessential handrails make it easier to navigate dim hallways, steep stairways, and other potentially dangerous areas. Handrails also protect walls, creating a buffer capable of absorbing the impact of a body or a cart gone astray. Functionality aside, handrails often add character to both residential and commercial spaces. From finished wood to vibrant glossy colored vinyl, handrails create an indoor horizon that transitions the textures and colors of the floor to those of the mid-wall and ceiling.   Review this article if you would like toshop for handrails online. The two most common materials that handrails are made from are wood and vinyl. When choosing between the two, it’s helpful to consider the following questions.   What are you willing to pay? This is the first question to ask. Setting a budget is vital when taking on a home or office improvement project, and it’s equally important to maximize the value of every dollar you invest in materials. When it comes to handrail pricing, it’s important to consider how various costs contribute to a wide array of price tiers.   Wooden handrails are often the most inexpensive option, however they may require stains and protective finishes, depending on where they are used. Some wooden handrails come pre-treated, and their relatively higher price will reflect it. By contrast, vinyl handrails will begin at a moderate price point (and escalate, depending on manufacturer and features). On the plus side, vinyl handrails do not need to be treated in order to resist weather related damage.   What are you trying to say? Every room has something to say. Whether warm and welcoming or sharp and clean, there is a handrail to compliment most interior designs. Take a moment to reflect on the current design of the room, noting dominant colors, accents, materials, and lighting— both natural and electrical. Then, decide if the ambience of the room will be augmented best by the warm, textured surfaces of wood. Or, the silky smooth and shiny surface of vinyl. For unique and unnatural colors, it is sometimes best to go with a vinyl handrail.   Will the handrail be outside? Finally, consider where the handrail will be located. To what degree will it be exposed to wind, rain, and other weather elements? Remember that partially covered areas, like decks and covered patios, are still susceptible to swinging temperatures. If using wooden handrails outside, be sure to treat them with a waterproof finish. This will not be necessary if using vinyl handrails.
