Keratin treatment fried my hair! I am very concerned that the staff at this salon is not properly trained on Keratin Treatments. On Friday, I received a mini keratin treatment from Joseph. I have fine, color processed hair and discussed my concerns about the application of the keratin with a 450 degree hot iron with my stylist. Joseph assured me that the keratin treatment would be good for my hair and even suggested that I should get the full keratin treatment as overall it would be a better value. I opted for the mini keratin as I thought the full one would make my hair too flat. \t\n\t\nI washed my hair on Sunday morning and was horrified to see clumps of hair falling off into the tub. I washed it again this morning and again I had clumps of hair. My hair is now broken and extremely frizzy. When I called the salon yesterday, I was basically told to call back today and that the manager might be in to address my issue.\t\n\t\n$155 later I am left with fried, frizzy hair. We had an experience with our daughter that we thought we should share so that others might be spared. My daughter went to Dallaria Day Spa in Newton expecting to have her hair done for her prom, it was a simple pull the sides back and leave it down. After being charged $85. for a 15 minute appointment she came home in tears. Her hair was pulled back and curled at the ends as she had asked but not washed as they told her that would be extra. We feel that she was totally taken advantage of due to her age and inexperience. I am hoping that this will be read by others so that they might avoid the stress and frustration that we did on her special day.
