Inept, rude and unprofessional. A total nightmare to work with. The food was good, but not good enough to offset the negatives. They left a huge mess and I ended up cleaning it up myself so that I could get my damage deposit back. ...read more

Or green tea ice cream that hasn't been thawed and refrozen. But the rest of it is pretty awesome. Kobe in Jeffersonville does have better green mussels though. But not as good agadashi tofu. So if I am in the mood for that, Shogun's is it. ...read more

Peterson-Dumesnil House

5.0

By C Crowder

The venue was gorgeous and the HOUSE staff are amazing. Easy and accurate communication. However, if you are planning an event that requires catering you may wish to reconsider. There is a required caterer for the venue and the communication process is not as easy unless you are local. All the required extras add up quickly. Also they advertise their business on the napkins----not tasteful. ...read more

Shogun Japanese Steak House

As a new resident of Louisville, I was excited to see a Sushi rest. so close! Unfortunately, my first will be my last time. The immature attitude from the hostess was almost bad enough, being snide and condescendingly calling patrons hun, but what was worse was when I asked if there was a menu I could take home for future call ahead to-go orders, she replied "I don't have anything like that, if you want I guess I can see if they'll let me take a menu and make a copy, but I don't have anything to give you." What restaurant wouldn't have a menu for patrons to take for future orders? And why be snotty at the request? But when I got home with my Las Vegas rolls, I realized that 2 of the main ingredients had been replaced, eel and salmon had been replaced with mushroom and tofu. Needless to day I will not be returning. I hear there is a much better Sushi restaurant up the street, I'll try that! ...read more

Masterson's Catering

5.0

By Larraine at Citysearch

My family has enjoyed Masterson's for years, so I am happy to find this opportunity to make a review. It has been our special place to go for family celebrations for at least 20 years. We have gone several years for the Thanksgiving buffet, and often for Sunday lunch. Live music is often part of the dining experience as well. My mother's wedding rehearsal meal was there several years ago, and we had a delicious buffet feast of our own set up in the sunroom area. We like the homestyle cooking, good service, the cozy atmosphere and the fact that Mastersons is one of our hometown businesses. All those desserts? That's the bonus of enjoying a restaurant that is also a catering business! If you are tired of the chain experience, give Mastersons a try! ...read more

Masterson's Catering

I decided on my birthday to go for Sunday brunch at Mastersons. I was treated to a small buffet of southern comfort foods. There were more desserts there than entrees or appetizers. My waitress never refilled my drink for me and was extraordinarly slow to pick up dirty plates so that my family and I could enjoy our meal. They're lucky to get two stars from me. They're very pricey and their food isn't spectacular. I expected more and was treated to less. ...read more
