Me an husband went there on friday evening a a couple weeks ago ,that was the first time, we been there since it became a steak house, When we enter the retaurant, was greeted by a lovely hostess. She seat us down immediatley, Told us her name an the server name., i thought that very nice gesture. The atomsphere was nice. The food was excellent! I will return soon. ...read more

With much anticipation we went to the Butchers Block in Junction City. I was excited by the window front and anticipated a grand experience. The interior immediately had me confused, a money center before a beautiful reception piece, we were greeted well, immediately ushered past a baskin robbins type ice cream/diner setting to our table - ?? The environment has so much potential yet lacks a consistent theme. A goldmine without direction. The food was fantastic and saved the day, the service was great which will have me coming back, yet I wonder about the lack of "finish" and the conflicting message sent to the diner that this is upscale yet downscale. . . . . I have high hopes for the butcher block and will hope they figure out how to finish what they started in an evnironment that would have given them a five star. Move the cash register, remove the money center and please put the ice cream stand elsewhere or dress it up some! ...read more

Went with my folks, my wife and my brother this afternoon. The service was nice, but the kabob was not seasoned and the rice was very undercooked. For being an "award winning" entree, the meal was pretty blah. ...read more
