I am new in the St. Pete area. After a really bad experience at Cole's Gunshop in Clearwater, I was browsing the Yellow Pages and found Kastle Keep Guns. It was a lucky find. The store was warm and friendly. The type of shop you come into just to hang out and make friends. I was confronted by some decent deals as well. I think they could make some changes to the way the store is laid out, but that is just a personal opinion. In the end, I definately found found a local shop I can return to and enjoy. I paid Cole's upfront for a FFL transfer and a record check expecting them to fax their FFL to the out of state shop that day. It took Cole's a week to fax their FFL to the other shop, and that was after I spoke to 5 different people including the owner. Their lack of customer service prolonged my purchase at least a week. Instead of being apologetic for their apparent lack of follow up, I was greeted with attitude and outright contempt by the owner when I confronted him with the problem. If I had not prepaid for the service I am sure I would have been drummed out of the store. Why is it so hard to find storeowners who follow through with their products?
