Fishermen's Inn is more than an Alaska fishing lodge. We want you to relax and experience the wonders of this region. Let us show you glaciers and a hundred water falls. Come hear the whales breath and watch the bears where they live. Kayak with the seals and sea lions. With our Cessna 185 float plane, we provide fly out fly fishing
adventures and eco tours into beautiful places most people dream of! Go saltwater charter fishing with Chatham Strait Charters. Fish processing, lodging, meals, kayaks and air transportation from Sitka to Port Alexander is included in our packages. Port Alexander, Alaska is off the beaten path, a small fishing village on Baranof island. We are 60 miles south of Sitka. The road ends in Sitka and there aren't any cars or trucks here. The only way to get to Port Alexander is by boat or Float plane. We pick up our guests in Sitka and fly them to Fishermen's Inn. We have all the comforts of home and robes are provided for you to relax in our hot tub.

There are a few steelhead in the streams of Southeast Alaska. My son and I landed in a lake to try some fly fishing. We had four on and landed two. I would have to say that the big ones got away. My son Justin had this monster on for quite some time that took him to deep into the backing. I had my hand around it's tail and it was to big to hold and broke off in the end.
