I must have gotten the one woman who knew nothing about blonde hair. I requested a touch up to the roots of an ombre style I had been wearing for a few months. She processed without blending at the shaft, and tried to fix her error with toner, which grabbed horribly to the ends of my blonde hair. She went on to apply two more toners before blow drying and trying to convince me that the blotchy half-processed job looked ok. I was mortified. I asked her to do something to fix the problem, at which point she went on to apply dark brown to my entire head. I had no intention of going brunette that day, but it was her only option since she botched the blonde I had had for more than a decade... I was so sad I was disgusted. The brown didn't even match my skin color (or wardrobe!), so I lived inside and/or under a hat for the next few weeks until I could be seen by another salon.
