Attorney Martin Bender would NOT be a good choice for a family law matter. After spending a lot of money already, I am back at the beginning with another attorney. His lack of experience, negligence, incompetence, and arrogance are all great reasons to stay away. If I added his lacking level of veracity and specifically to billing, I wish someone would have forewarned me. I feel obligated that my experience was so outrageous, I have to warn anyone else who is in my situation to do your homework first. There is much more information I am aware of now from the Calif. State Bar Associations website and there are tips for the public. You want a law firm with a quality staff and more than one or two attorneys. You will know when you have visited the office of an attorney during a consultation, and how you feel about it the next day. Find a Family Law firm focused on Family Law only, which normally includes bankruptcy since it all cost so much. ...read more

When Mr. Lieberg called me on the phone to see if he could assist me, I was expecting a 2 minute call with the advice to come in and pay $200 an hour for his knowledge and expertise. I was blown away, however, when he graciously took at least 30 minutes to listen to my issue and walk me through possible solutions, advising me about people to contact, and helping me get a grasp on a very muddled mess. He has a very relaxing manner and I feel that he is trustworthy. If I ever had a serious issue, he would be the first person I would think of to go to.
