Beware of robert morales of xtreme mobile detailing, located at 2490 main st suite D chula vista ca.will take your money and run. Please read all my posts on craigs list of san diego, in rv section. 3 claims have been filed against him for unethical business dealings, 1 with the bbb, 1 with consumer affairs and 1 with the san diego ethics commission, I have all the proof I need to take this legal. But I think this is hitting his pocket book much harder than the little petty amount he ripped me off of, all this proves to me that this guy is dumber than a box of rocks and he can see himself starting to self destruct. No, no, no, no. I took off work for 3 hrs to support an APPOINTMENT i made to get my SUV engine cleaned. I showed up 3:58 for 4:00 appointment, parked and walked into suite "I" (their business office is in "I" not "H" as listed on this yelp address, but they are side by side.)\r\n\r\nI walked around loudly, spoke up and said "Hello ??" A couple of times. The space next door had a very loud radio playing - so i wasn't sure i was heard. I walked outside, around the end of building, no joy. i walked back to the office and stayed put for another 10 mins until 4:13 --- no came out or responded. I sent text to number, but no one responded.\r\n\r\nI left ---- then about 4:39 i get a text reply "where are you"..... HA !!! Yeap, not there any more. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! You will get a better job with Mother Nature's morning dew!It took 35 minutes for the car to get through which would have been ok had they been cleaning the car in a good enough manner. When I went to pick up the car after tipping the attendant of course, I noticed the interior had not been touched and had a very light vacuum. All of the door sills were still dirty and untouched as well as the entire interior. The driver and passenger seat were adjusted all the way forward, not where they were originally. The exterior wash was horrible with many streaks in the windows and untouched body parts.When I voiced my displeasure I was told to speak to the initial sales person. I pointed out the problems to this idiot who told me that to do a better job I needed to buy the $100 detail package. I told him that was ridiculous and I would like it rewashed. He refused and I told him I would not be back and he told me that was good with him. ...read more

Not all scratches are the same. If it's a surface scratch such as finger nail scratch, a compound treatment followed by a good wax will restore the damaged area. It the damage is paint swirls or even a key scratch that has not gone down to the primer, a professional detail that includes wet-sanding, followed by a compound will remove the damage. Again, it depends on the depth of the scratching. (Keep in mind that buffing or waxing a car will not remove most scratches. It will only hide the damage until your next wash) For those deeper scratches that you can feel with your fingernail are usually done case by case. At our detail shop, we can wet-sand the area to fill in the scratch. Wet-sanding, as I like to explain, is the process of liquefying the top layer of clear coat and paint in order to remove the damage. Once the clear is liquefied and movable, scratches are permanently removed. If the scratch is deeper, what tends to happen is the damage is filled with the car's color but might be slightly noticeable. Think of a cut on your hand that has healed. The inner healed area is the same color as the skin but you might see a faint outline where the original cut had been. If the damage is down to the primer then you're left with 3 choices. Purchase touch-up paint from either your dealership or online such as Dr. Paint Chip. This process is economical but will be noticeable. Keep in mind that even though the color matches your vehicle color, your dabbing paint onto paint instead of spraying it on. Take the car to the body-shop. Living with it. (Beware if the scratch is down to the primer. It will start to rust and rust is cancer for metal.) Check out our gallery page to see other paint damage repairs. Tire Safety Winter is here and if you haven't checked your tires yet for tread wear and proper tire pressure you might want to take a quick look at them. It is estimated that over 6000 accidents per year are caused by tire problems. Look to make sure your tires are wearing evenly and that the tread is not worn below the wear bar which is usually 2/32" deep. Another way to determine the tread depth is by using a penny. Place a penny in each tire grove with Lincoln's head facing you upside down. If part of Lincoln's head is always covered by the tread, you have more than 2/32" of tread depth remaining. It doesn't rain here that much in San Diego but when it does the roads can be especially slick so for your own safety check your tires.
