Was at the Flair Plaza, 9200 Flair Drive, El Monte. Was in the credit union regarding getting a loan for a new vehicle. Was there for 2 hours. Came out and found they towed my car. When I called them about the missing car, they were rude and argumentative. They said I must have left the property and that gave them the authority to take my car. The branch manager had to get involved, as well as the property management to get them to release the car without fees. When I got to Aarons Towing, the same person who basically called me a liar on the phone said they were releasing the car without fees because they could not get hold of the person who 'authorized' them and they could not see the video tape of the parking lot. Again, very rude. When I requested copies of the tow authorization, a copy of the contract giving them authority to remove vehicles from that parking lot, etc, they refused to provide them by the time I had requested. If I could give them a ZERO score, I would. Them taking my car cost me 4 hours of my time and all I got was the run around. I would not recommend this company to anyone or any business. They will cause you nothing by trouble and trouble for your customers. While I still have to go to the bank there, I will not be going to any of the other businesses at that location. No Del Taco, No Starbucks, No other food establishments, nothing. The business will not get any of my $$$. And I am sharing with with my family and friends. I grew up in El Monte and the wife in Rosemead. Family and friends are surprised and in agreement. Boycott and not risk having your car towed. ...read more

The law clearly states A vehicle must be parked for one full hour before being towed. I had only arrived 10 minutes prior to my vehicle being hooked up. If a vehicle owner encounters a tower removing his or her vehicle but the truck is not yet on a public road, the owner may demand the immediate and unconditional release of the vehicle. The law does not require the owner to provide a driver’s license. Yet when I did encounter the tow truck driver he demanded I pay him $140.00 to release my vehicle and then wrote me a receipt for $80.00 stating " he had to make it worth it for him" The private property owner who made the complaint to have the vehicle towed must be present while the tow is being commenced and no one but the rude tow truck driver was present. I attempted to contact the owner of this company Ruben Jandres who was also rude. The tow truck driver said if I had been a little nicer to him he could have make it " all go away". I intend on taking this one to court! ...read more

My girlfriend's daughter had her car impounded on a Friday night from a parking lot. She called to pick it up on Saturday morning and was told she could not pick it up until Monday. When I questioned the tow office about the situation they were VERY belligerent and uncooperative. I am in the process of finding out who contracts them to report the type of "service" they are providing……very poor. ...read more

Check engine light is on Now What?Is this a serious engine problem?Do I pull over and call a tow truck? Your driving and suddenly see this little yellow lightilluminates on your dashwell itcan mean many different things, from a loose gas cap to a seriously misfiring engine, it doesn’t mean stop and call a tow truck but you should have it checked as soon as possible, do not ignore the warning light it could be something simple but what if it isn’t this may end up costing you more either in parts, poor fuel economy and higher pollutants levels. The "check engine" light is part of your car's so-called onboard diagnostics (OBD) system. Since the 1980s, computers increasingly have controlled and monitored vehicle performance, regulating such variables as engine speed (RPM), fuel mixture, and ignition timing. In some cars, the computer also tells the automatic transmission when to shift. Look at it this way check engine lights are a warning when something goes wrong with the vehicle have it check as soon as possible there’s a reason for these lights coming on more help ...read more
