Magic Mushroom Lamp Co

Stopped in here to look at the crystal dangler things a friend had told me about. Of course the store has much more to offer than the crystals. (which were awesome)
This store seems to be a real boon to local artists and artisans, much of the inventory is locally sourced.
Since I have a friend who is a master glass blower I asked about the glass they had displayed. I was surprised to hear that non of it was Chinese made like a lot of shops are doing. Cool.

Not sure about the review stating the mushroom lamps were too "modern". To be honest they are amazingly crafted and they look like something one would see in a Lord of the Rings film.

Overall I had a good experience here, we bought some dream catchers for the kids and the proprietor who was very friendly threw in some worry stones for free as well.

End state, we will return to shop here again next time we are in town. They have many unique items one cannot find elsewhere in the county and some that are hard to find statewide!

I remember the founding of the Magic Mushroom Lamp Co when it was a garage business located on 4th st near Pico Ave, in Santa Monica CA. Yes! Those were the days when the lamps were made of pure magic! The mystical ingredients came from desolate beaches along the Ventura coast, the liken was hand picked in the Siquoia forest, the sea shells came Indonisia, Phillipines and other faraway lands. The quickening of the lamps were shaped in such fashion that each had a life of its own.
It´s good to know that these lamps are still around and shining their soft mellow glow.
