Welcome to the new year!!!
2011 is going to be even better at the Ruff House. I opened this facility only about 6 months ago and it has been a work in progress. The house was abandoned in in horrible shape when I took it on. It only took a few months to make it habitable. This year we will get a lawn established in the backyard, Re-due some fencing and gates, clean up that old building out back, and get a TV and Wii system for the 4-H kids (all educational of course). Classes will resume in January but because of the weather I need to wait until I get a good heater going in the shop. By summer we will be able to go out back and play on the agility equipment again. As for pricing we will develop a monthly membership fee for returning customers only. Like a gym, for one fee you can come and make use of the facility anytime we are open (mostly weekends and evenings). Practice on the agility equipment, groom your dog, come to training classes, use the dog book library, play on the Wii. All of this will always be free for 4-H kids- as usual. As for 4-H I have added a few classes to the agenda. Besides dog training we will also be doing gardening, horticulture and vegi judging. Happy New Year!! ...read more
