This store likely has the highest prices in the entire state. They gouge the visitors in the summer by upping the prices $1 to $3 per item, (just before Memorial Day weekend) and the locals are forced to pay it or go up the road 41 miles to City Market. The owners of the store have a history of telling certain folks they are NOT ALLOWED to shop in the store, in particular ex-employees,. They have threatened their employees that if they are seen shopping at the new Dollar Store they will be fired! I didn't know we lived with Communism, but apparently the owners of Valley Foods seem to think they "write the laws" for their grocery shoppers themselves. I hope to never set foot in their store again and would advise everyone who has shopped there in the past NOT to shop there again. Let's Boycott these people and see how they like it! I order flowers for my mother from the Flower Pot a couple times a year and have always gotten super service. It's always nice to talk to Connie or Julie, get a little local news (It's been over 30 years since I moved from Saratoga) and hang up knowing I don't have to worry about the quality of the arrangement, nor delivery (even though I don't usually provide an address for delivery!).
