The apartments are nice but the business ethics are very poor. The website for the preserve gives an option to request an apartment be held for you to look at and rent. There is no option for a deposit. I just got back from a 242 mile trip to go to an 11:00 appointment which the preserve confirmed by email only to be told they had no record of my appointment and all the units are rented but they would be glad to take a non-refundable application fee. By this point I was too angry to even remember what the other fee he mentioned was but there was no way I would give money to people who take care of business that poorly. The minimum consideration would have been a phone call to cancel the appointment. While legally there is nothing wrong since they did not take any money to hold the apartment, ethically it does not get much lower.
