Having 3 children I've seen my fair share of child care centers. Among all of them, All-Star Academy was the best. I love the center, the 4k program, adored my son's teachers, and really saw him flourish. Prior to my son attending ASA he briefly attended a child care center that is now closed in Eagle and that was the worst choice I ever made. Luckily, Michelle and my son's teachers worked with him to provide consistency and got him back on track to where he was prior to the previous center. If I could give a negative review, I would. This place is NOT the place to take your kids OR work for. The previous owner has a lot of court cases against him for money. He was also in jail for a month in 2002 for commercial gambling and possession of steroids. The current owner (also the director) also must attend court for not paying Aurora healthcare. You can easily look these up on the WI Circuit Court webpage.\t\n\t\nMany teachers have quit this daycare center in recent months, and they have also fired other teachers with no grounds on which to fire them (false accusations were made against these teachers). \t\n\t\nI want to make aware the problems this center has so that parents looking for QUALITY daycare look elsewhere. You do NOT want to send your child to a daycare that treats their employees so poorly. If the employees are treated this badly, then it is a reflection on the quality of care of the children enrolled there.\t\n\t\nI hope current parents that have their children here read this ... I urge you to pull your children ASAP! Who knows how much longer this center will even be in operation -- they even had to close their doors today (9/28/10) because they didn't have a liscense due to changing owners. ...read more

I have just learned today that All Star Academy has a new owner with over 14 million dollars in judgements against him. They are changing the name to River Wood just to help mask the same problems and management staff. I am very concerned and would like to make other parents aware not to take the chance with this day care center.....I am pulling my child Monday as well are others. ...read more
