Doug assured me that they had alerted me to the issue because it was important to get the car fixed before the engine blew up. Apparently to them it was also important that I replace the $150 timing chains (that I didn't need) since they were already tearing the water pump out. ...read more

The dealer took a close look, and said there was absolutely nothing wrong with the car. He also said that the coolant would be leaking all over the ground, and not into the oil if it was a water pump that was bad. Also, he mentioned that there should be no reason to have to change the timing chain when changing out a water pump (it would have been a different story if it was a belt). I paid the bill for having the car checked out, and then immediately went over to Schierl. After making the the desk jockey's head spin while he was trying to defend lie after lie, he then agreed that they must have somehow screwed up, and that his manager would be calling me on Monday when he got in.
