Management will do nothing about smoke drifting into non-smoker's units. We were not informed of our building being a "smoker" building when applying to live here. It wasn't until several months after moving in and living here that we found ourselves stuck in 90+ degree weather without air conditioning forced to either suffer the heat or have our children endure the effects of second hand smoke from our chain smoking neighbors. After sending a letter to management, we were informed there was one non-smoking building with one unit available on the bottom floor. The unit reeked of urine, offered one less bathroom, and at little rent reduction with the risk of losing our deposit and receiving an early lease termination fee. I lived in Cedar Court apartments for almost four years and would recommend to anybody to NEVER LIVE HERE and to NEVER RENT FROM DOBLER MANAGEMENT. I was always on time or early with my rent, only ever had one maintenance request (when I moved in the closet to the laundry didn't have a handle and sometimes that was difficult to open) and still got dicked around. I was called by the apartment manager one day and accused of not paying my rent, when they found my rent check he later called back and accused me of turning it in after they called. I had turned it in to the box TWO DAYS EARLIER. I was told that I was not allowed to have anything on my deck (including flowers) yet see a lot of other apartments in the community with flowers, even porch furniture on their decks. I was almost towed once because I parked in "another apartment complex". It was an uncovered, non-reserved stall and I could see it from my apartment. This company is horrible. From the apathetic listing agent to the horrible staff. To be more specific, they do not return calls like they promise, they do not adhere to the deadlines and requirements in the bank's own contracts, they have screwed up on multiple documents and forms and then ask YOU to correct their mistakes. I even tried to get John S on the phone to plead for help, but apparently, he doesn't take calls. I understand REO deals work differently and require more patience, I understand their staff is overworked, but we as buyers are on the other end of the deal counting on everyone to do their job. Recently my wife and I decided to buy our first home, While this is a stressful task in its own . I would strongly recommend staying away from any listings that this agency is tied to. The paperwork always seem to get lost or had to be redone. and when it came time for filing an extension(because they couldnt get their paperwork straight) it was almost pointless. now I know they only represent the seller. There cant possibly be a seller that puts a house up for sale then decides to see how long they can drag out the process. The only time anything got done on their end in a timely manner was once We finally threaten finding a lawyer for failure to perform. I would not recommend listing your home with them or buying a home that is listed with them. just stay away. Almost 6 months to buy a NON short sale home is CRAZY. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM or HAVE THEM RENT YOUR PROPERTY FOR YOU! Evergreen Residential Management is the absolute WORST property management company I have ever dealt with. If you rent from them, they will not respond to deficiencies in your home (we once went without heat for a week in the middle of winter... and that is only one example) and, when you move out, they will stiff you on your deposit after you're 3,000 miles away (and then refuse to respond to your inquiries thereafter). We lived in a cheap 3 bedroom for 6 months. The apartment itself was great but the management was horrible. I complained of a car abandoned in front of the apartment, they never did anything I had to call the city myself. They started doing major construction and tore up the front of the building without bothering to inform the residents. They left a 1 foot trench across the only entrance covered by a wooden board for 2 months. Maintenance took forever to get anything done. Office lady was less then helpful every time I called.
