I called "Appliance Repair Specialists", serving Tacoma, Washington, to repair my oven door. The 4 screws that attach the oven handle had fallen out....a pretty simple fix, one would think. They said that they would call at 8 AM on Monday, Oct 28, 2013, to set up an appointment for that morning. My wife waited for a call until about 10 AM, and then she had to call them to secure the appointment. When the tech arrived, the job took 20 minutes to put the oven door back together. He was really nice and efficient. My bill, including sales tax, was $163.70....which equates to $491.10 per hour!!! Their yellow pages ad promotes "no travel charges" and "low cost service". Their web site touts "senior discount". I am 65, and my wife is 63....so I think we should qualify. None was offered or even mentioned by the technician. The following day (today), when calling to inquire about the charges, the telephone receptionist was very inhospitable, to the point of being antagonistic. She seemed quite disturbed with having to deal with me at all. In my opinion, this company is NOT the company you would EVER want to call for appliance repair. 5 hours later, I am still awaiting a call from the tech, who the receptionist said could explain the charges to me...but she, apparently, could not. ...read more

This is the ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY I have ever been associated with! 1st they prey on the desperation of their employees, by offering what seems to be a lucrative means to income in a declining economy. They 1st train you the right, way, but later on, they order you to break every rule there is. I worked for them for 2 or 3 months, because they never gave me time to look for employment elsewhere. There were times when I received checks for under $20 when I had made the company well over $1000... There has also been instances where the company owner has physically beaten employees. NEVER allow these people in ur home. its not the workers that are evil doers. it is shah. He even stole my iMac computer while i was working for him. He personally ordered me to LIE to Numerous customers, and there are many instances when he threatens to leave his workers stranded if sales aren't met. I can remember working from 8am to 10 pm many days, and earning no wages. DO NOT DO WORK WITH THIS COMPANY! These people are so shady it's not even funny. If they come to your door, slam it in there faces and lock it. I have a No soliciting sign on my door and they still rang my door bell, I kindly declined there spiel and closed the door. They then beat on my door before leaving at which point they used profanity to describe me which my wife heard through our open window? what losers. The owner if this company was contacted and doesnt care that what they are doing is illegal, which is fine because the next time they come I will be calling the cops. It's against the law to solicit at house with no soliciting signs and I'm sure they do not have a have business license which is also required by law in the city where they are soliciting. this store doesn't know how to handle more than one customer at a time. they are good at selling, and I'll admit the product is fairly good, but it's painful if you need any service or need to even buy bags. you get ignored or have to suffer through a 15 minute database transaction performed by an incompetent manager who doesn't know how to use the cash register. take your business elsewhere! too painful! ...read more

These people have showed up twice at our house, both times at 9 PM at night. They are extremely aggressive, sending out teams of about 6 people to do an entire neighborhood. My husband and I both felt they were sketchy (to say the least). I would NEVER allow them in my house. The town we live in also has an ordinance against door-to-door salespeople unless they are a registered non-profit. This company lied about themselves, saying they had a "permit" from the city. My Daughter was promised a guaranty of $1800.00 per month she has never seen that amount , she has been paid $ 100.00 per week for the past four pay checks they have been doing there best to give her excuse after excuse on why she has not been paid for her work. She also was a passenger in a Company owned van that was stuck by another driver and they have not paid any of her Medical Bills or lost wages.
