Bestbuy will squander your warranties by repairing not fixing you're purchases. My analogy"your car rim has a metal shard poking holes in your tire so bestbuy fixes your tire multiple times until your warranty expires. Why not fix the rim. Actually my laptop's screen goes black. So BB installs a new mother board every time. Until the warranty expired. So I go to BB today to have it fix and what do you know I'm S O L the warranty is expired "we can't repair your laptop for free any more. You should have bought the extended warranty. My thoughts are W T F would I pay for that when BB failed to fix the problem multiple times. I already paid for a warranty when I bought the laptot. B T W which is 3 years old now. BB employee says" what do you expect it can't last forever. "That's technology most people buy or upgrade every 2 to 3 years due to failure or upgrades". So I escalated to Bustbuys mission control dept then to ironically consumer protection dept with no prevalence. ...read more

Obviously things here have changed in the last year.\t\nBE AWARE while making purchases at RADIO SHACK. The lack of knowledge and support of the staff is mind boggling. My daughter and her father had gone into the store located in Tacoma on North 26th St because her cell phone got hot and then died. THEY PUT a battery in her cell phone while explaining to them that it probably wasn't the battery but most likely the phone and if it ended up being the phone, they could bring the battery back...hmmm. Within 2 hours it had drained the $50.00 battery just purchased from RADIO SHACK. Now going to the Verizon store, in which they gave her a new phone because they said the phone was bad; and informing her that they had been ripped off from RADIO SHACK in more ways than one. The battery that they bought was apparently the most generic you can get and for the low price of $50.00. As was explained to my daughter and her father when they purchased the battery for her broken cell phone, she went back to RADIO SHACK, the employee who originally helped us saw her coming and went into the back room. The person in charge for the day said that a return was not possible because the phone burnt up the battery...IMAGINE THAT! Be very leary...the customer service people have NO KNOWLEDGE of anything and really are there to sell products that they don't know anything about. If you don't have any skills and are looking for employment...may I suggest pursuing a job (if you can call it that) at RADIO SHACK. To top it off, I called the person in charge when my daughter told me what happened and she proceeded to just argue with me. I called the Corporate office when I got the runaround from the store. The General Manager also decided that a return was not possible. Please be careful while shopping here, know what your buying, do your own research so you don't get taken advantage of as my family did. The $50.00 they made that day will end up costing them alot more! ...read more
