In response to Henry’s statements I feel that it is only fair to state the facts. Yes the day the appointment was set our tech was sick, and for that I did apologize and attempted to reschedule all appointments that were set that day. I offered the appointment for the following Monday, at or about the same time and Henry informed me he would call back to confirm. By the time he called back to confirm our technicians schedule had been filling up and the later appointment was the only one available. There had been some miscommunication back in December as well, When no one met our technician for the scheduled service. We even serviced the account for the monthly services at no charge to Henry for his troubles. Then in February, after we had scheduled another service, Our technician showed up only to find no one there to let us inside, so services could not once again be performed. After many attempts to reach Henry, even sending an email on 2/19 and hearing absolutely no response, we put this account on hold until further notice. Also, Yes we did change our name, as this was done to make it easier and more convenient for our customers when it came to finding us online. With that said , there is no change of management or no change of employees and we are still the same company we were over 22 years ago. I started using this company when it was Action Pest Control, before it became Mathis extermination. I had heard them on the radio and that they were a family business. I am not sure if they merged with another company or if the same family owns them. The service was good for the first year, with a regular maintenance program. Everything was going fine until they missed an appointment on 1/14. They never called me, but just the opposite, I called them to find out where the exterminator was. I was told that he was sick and that he couldn't make it. Rachel then asked me if I wanted to reschedule to the 21st of January. I said that would be fine, but what I was really wondering is why I had to call them to find out that my technician was sick. What does a company do "normally" when someone is suppose to show up and they are sick?Hmmm...if you guessed, give the customer a call, then you are in line with my thinking. No phone call, no nothing.... to make a long story short, I took the appt for the 21st. I asked if it would be the same time, around 930 am, and she said that was correct. After I hung up, I called her back, because the 21st is MLK day and I wasn't sure if they were working. I called in again and spoke to Rachel she said that they were working on MLK day. The plot thickens...I recieved a bill on the 18th for a spraying that "occurred" on 1/3, but the problem was, there is no spraying on 1/3. I have a monthly contract to show up and spray every 2nd monday of the month, which would have been the 1/14, when he was sick on that day. On the 21st, when I had a "scheduled" spraying, I called and spoke to Rachel again and asked about the invoice and she said she would look into it. I told her that it didn't make sense that I would get a bill for 1/3, if my scheduled spraying is 1/14. Also, that if he sprayed on 1/13, then there is no need to spray on 1/21. I meant to ask her when the technician would be at my apartment building, but we ended the call. I then proceeded to call back and to talk to the "Owner/Manager" he asked me my name and location of service. Then put me on hold. When he came back on he asked me if 12PM would be okay for the technician to come out an spray. I then asked why he was asking me about the 12 PM time slot, and that is when he said that I was NOT on the schedule. I then started to become angry, because 1. They never called me when my technician was sick and I had to call them to find out2. They sent me a bill for a spraying on 1/3, that never happened.3. They never re-scheduled me to the 21st, after missing the 14th4. The owner was non accomodating and borderline rude. I have been awake listening to rats gnawing in my house at night . I emailed Ampm exterminators and within an hour (this was on a Sunday) I received a phone call. The next day the inspector,Vicky, came and did a thorough evaluation. vicky was so professional and supportive. She wrote up a proposal that I could afford and made a phone call. Within the hour a technician, Daniel, appeared. He went to work outside in the dark , on a ladder, screening the vulnerable entry points for rats and setting up bait traps throughout the perimeter of the house. Then he built a door to seal off the crawl space. Daniel worked well into the evening settiing the necessary traps inside. That was Monday-this is Wednesday. I thought these guys were great. I never thought I'd write a review for a pest control company, but these guys really are deserving. I had a issue with rodents, I tried to take care of it myself without avail - I did some research and these guys were the highest rated exterminators I could find.
